Where did Germany get the money to build their army?
After WWI - Germany was pretty much robbed of her money due to the Treaty of Versaille, however, before WWI, Germany had all that money to make airplanes, tanks, and jeeps for the war. I know France and Great Britain did change some things in the treaty to make it not as harsh on Germany, but it still seems like Germany would be quite poor into the 1930's. Does anyone know how Germany (Hitler) got the funds to build such a great army?
It's supposed to say "before WWII" not WWI - sorry

The Nazis borrowed money from the United States, who were big admirers of Hitler.
Hitler was ‘Man of the year’ in 1938 in The US Time magazine, due to the admiration they had for him solving the ‘Jewish problem’.
Anti-semitism was widely spread.
Obama,
or…
George Bush ;p
The Nazi party basically got all their money because they gave jobs to all citizens I think.
they did not get money they obligated citizens to participate in the army and robbed citizens money so they could pay their weapons
From what I understand they earned their money through industry, basically most of it came from building their war machines and such. Also I think they violated the treaty of Versailles and got some money from an outside source. Don’t quote me on anything, i’m not an expert and I don’t really know much about it, that’s all I know.
they turned their printing presses on maximum power. just like america is doing now.
He traded with other countries like Italy, japan especially with Spain since back then, though Spain was neutral, it had a facist leader called franco which is how he got the money to build his army.
Many people were unemployed and didn’t have money, so they economy was going under…
Hitler built factories to make weapons, tanks and so on, this employed millions, millions now had jobs and were no longer living of the government, and now they were spending money too, not to mention the population boom that Hitler encouraged, Germany economy was one of the strongest in the World near the begnning of WW2.
He borrowed it, from private sources or other countries. NO nation has been able to fight a major war, without borrowing funds and going into debt. Thus, every single nation emerged from wwii with a large debtload.
There were millions of unemployed & starving German men in the 30’s, so Hitler got them labouring in various industries; most significantly – ammunitions. They were paid very little. It was sheer man-power, not a wealth of money that strengthened the German armed forces for war.
Actually Hitler got his money from the one source that did not suffer from the depression, the Vatican. The Vatican did enter into a concord with Mussolini, a well known fact. Since Italy was allied with Germany during WWII in secret the Vatican entered into a secret agreement with Hitler to restore the Holy Roman Empire. Although the church denies such an arrangement it did become public in the 1950’s with a book, The Deputy which was later produced into a play. The church mounted extreme opposition to the accusations forbidding Catholics from reading the book or seeing the play.
