I have a RCF-67 seatbelt in a 91 Buick Park Avenue that does not always stay secured. I have read about quite a few cases that this has been a safety concern for this belt. Some sites discussed a demand for a government recall but I cannot find if there has been one.
The 401k as a savings vehicle is being sold to the general public as being preferable over a pension because it’s portable. However, many people simply cash out of their accounts when they leave their jobs thus eliminating any benefit from the plan whatsoever. Should the government eliminate that as an option and require a rollover distribution under those circumstances? I’m not saying eliminate hardship withdrawals but regular cash-out distributions.
I’m not talking about eliminating distributions after age 55…just the early distribution option.
Karl Marx detailed the 10 essential tenets of communism, namely:

Government controlled education

It looks like we already have 6 of these well in place. And a new administration that is working overtime to implement a few others.

North American car manufactures like General Motors and Ford are facing some difficult times. Our two countries import a lot of foreign made vehicles but those countries like Japan for instance hardly import any of ours.
So much of our economy relies on the automotive industry. Should the government do more to help its own industries?
General Motors has to pay more out for its employees than another company in the United States. What happens if they go under? GM will pass that burden on to the Federal Government and I think that’s what is coming.
Some of you have referred to North American built cars as inferior. I call vehicle like KIA inferior. They are some of the worst built vehicles out there.
Build fewer SUV’s? SUV’s sell! Why would you want to take away something that the buying publc wants?
Looking for a newer car at a cheap rate. Was told that going to government auctions or banks for repossessed vehicles is the best way to go. Is this risky and would i be getting a quality / reliable vehicle?

I heard that since the auto industry are closing down some of their cars are sent out for auction. and that is exactly where i want to be/go. any tips/advice would be great. thanks a bunch.
I forgot some information. The vehicle was a government vehicle on a navy base.
I hit a cars bumper it was bent. I called the base police and filed a report. I had no idea who the owner was so I left without leaving a note. Wouldn’t the cop have stopped me if I did something wrong. It was a government vehicle registered to the base

SAN DIEGO: A former Border Patrol agent was sentenced to two years in prison for smuggling illegal immigrants, sometimes in his own government vehicle.
Eric Balderas, 28, pleaded guilty in December 2005 to conspiracy to bring in illegal aliens and he was sentenced Thursday.
His plea agreement indicated that he admitted smuggling at least 100 people, said prosecutor Alana Wong. Authorities allege that the crimes occurred in the spring of 2005.
Balderas worked with fellow agent Oscar Antonio Ortiz, who was sentenced last year to five years in prison.
Ortiz, himself an illegal immigrant from Mexico, admitted that he and Balderas took money to transport illegal migrants north from the U.S.-Mexico border, sometimes in their Border Patrol vehicles.The agents worked near Tecate, a remote area east of San Diego. Wiretaps indicate they were paid 0 (€220) a person for looking the other way when migrants crossed the border. If the agents drove the immigrants, they got ,800 to ,000U.S. District Judge John Houston ordered that Balderas be immediately placed in custody. He had been free on bond.

with major controversial topics like health care, abortion, gays/lesbian marriage, AND OTHERS! the best way to find an answer to any issue is to take the major issue out and replace it with a minor one. like checking my vehicles tire pressure. should the government regulate that? low tire pressure is dangerous and uses more gas than if the tires were inflated properly. so should the gov do everything for us? or should we do everything for ourselves?

Will they ever be a time where the government tries to force us to drive small little cars, or will they always make the vehicles we like to buy. I like my big v8 trucks and would be pissed if I had to drive a small sub compact. What do you think?

Should the Federal (or state) governments increase the tax on gasoline to motivate people to buy more efficient gasoline-fueled vehicles or to demand more alternative fueled vehicles? Should that additional tax be used to be given back as tax credits to individuals who buy such new vehicles?

If you get in your government vehicle, equipped with lights and sirens, and you find that officer and he`s on duty in his patrol car, and you pull him over, But he doesnt for a while, what do you do.. and then the officer pulls over and the officer presents himself and the federal agents present themself. can the federal agents legally arrest him on duty?
I’m in California and I’m looking to purchase a new vehicle and I don’t want to finance. I can afford about ,500 out the door. The vehicle I’m looking at is priced at 88. If I can’t haggle the price down, and worst-case scenario would be I pay 88, would 12 be enough to pay for the gov’t fees and taxes, dealer document prep and emission testing fees?
