I want to try and get temporary tags for a vehicle I want to buy here in Maryland so I can give it to a family member in PA. Is this possible? Do I have to get this tag from FL or would MD give it to me? Any help would be great. I only need a temporary tag to make sure the car is good to go before driving across state lines.

I am debating, I just need some evidence that argues this resolution Resolved: That, by 2040, the federal government should mandate that all new passenger vehicles and light trucks sold in the United States by powered by alternative fuels.
Nothing about energy. Just why a mandate is bad. I was thinking something regarding the halt of ingenuity and innovation. Or socialism even.

I didn't see any such job in USAJOBS.gov . I think they have civilian drivers in the Army. I want to live in Gemany for a while and hopefully I can use my CDL in some aspect to do it. Not interested in Kuwait etc.
You see this in the movies alot. Cop in a hot pursuit says "Hey I'm commandeering this vehicle!" then just takes the person's car, or motorcycle or whatever. Can a policeman, FBI agent, or anyone employed by the government actually do this? And if so, how would one get their vehicle back? Or if the officer destroys said vehicle, can you get compensation for it?
Reading about all the shootings going on around the world got me to thinking what happens when an Army of a major country like UK, USA etc. makes a weapon obsolete.
In the 1960's, I was a boy soldier serving in the Cold War Theatre. The UK's front line infantry weapon was the 7.62 SLR (Self Loading Rifle) derived from the Belgian FN. The rifle was almost as tall as me, bloody heavy, only fired single shot, kicked like a mule when it got fouled up and was impossible to deploy in a vehicle without whacking someone over the head with it. That said, it was a superb weapon for killing elephants and suchlike. It could shoot through a brick wall in the next town and was consistantly accurate.
When the British Army 'Upgraded' to the SA80 ( piece of crap) there must have been tens of thousands of SLR's knocking about. Discounting the ones the British sold to Fred Carnos army etc, what happened to all those rifles. What did we do with them?
I'm guessing I sit in a huge brick and shoot at buildings that have insurgents.
I kinda want to be one of the guys who gets to use a machine gun, but on the other hand I don't know exactly how much those machine guns are actually used. I wanna shoot stuff, maybe operating the cannon would be somthing better to aim for.
What type of missions would I be going on? Patrol?
i just went to the dealership looking for a new truck. i just reenlisted in the army and got a bonus that i was going to use as a down payment once i got it. they told me at the dealership that if i signed tan agreement to give them the money once i got it they would let me take the truck. well i still havent received my bonus money yet and i got side swiped in the truck. now they r asking for the money that i dont have yet because i havent gotten the bonus.is there anything they could legally do about it.

1. Double the number of Border Patrol Agents and secure the border.
2. Drill for oil anywhere in the United States.
3. Cut corporate taxes in half.
4. Bring back the military draft.
5. Increase the number of naval ships, air force aircraft, army trucks,
tanks and helicopters.
6. Increase the number of missles, rockets, bombs, heavy guns, small arms and ammunition.
7. Build the infrastructure to support growth.
Musicman yes, it would be100's of millions instead of 100's of billions.
Oil will rise again let's be prepared. When your a$$ is on the line you will want to fight.
You can never have to many bullets, bombs and missiles.
With military spending hardwear is produce and private business benefits, welfare produces more lazy receiptents. Build it and they will come. If you want peace one must first prepare for war.
What's with the USA mentality that people need to drive the biggest car or SUV? Isn't this one of the reasons gas prices are so high? Will these people who drive HUMMER also drive a military TANK if it's legal on the street?
What do you think of when you think of a government vehicle? SUV? Why don't they mandate all government vehicles to be hybrid except millitary vehicles of course and all government buildings run off of solar power with regular power as back up? Why not lead the way with new technology instead of being so wastefull with energy and supporting the very things we fight?
